Welcome to Betley Show 2017 – our 160th Year

Early historical accounts record a Show being held in Betley during the 1850’s.  In our own archive, we have some details of the entries and prize winners of the ‘Betley Flower Show and Fete’ of 1898 and 1899, so quite a lengthy tradition there!

Prize cards were sought after then and are still awarded with the general opinion that standards are particularly high at Betley, which is all down to your skill and hard work as exhibitors.  The displays you create are enjoyed by many, myself included and I thank you for your enthusiastic participation to maintain our traditional country show.

I do hope you find some interesting classes in this schedule and I look forward to seeing you on Show Day.  It is always a good opportunity to catch up with old friends and sometimes make some new ones too!

Enjoy taking part, good luck in all your endeavours,

With my best wishes
